After a successful edition in Italy the previous year, a leading South African bank chose TERRAEVENTS once again to deliver their annual top-tier quality incentive trip. For 155 of their top performers, the client envisioned an unforgettable immersion into French tradition and culture, one that combined refinement, heritage, gastronomy, and standout moments worthy of a luxury and exclusive incentive.
Specifically, they wanted a programme that felt authentically French, with high-end hospitality, memorable cultural experiences, and a gala dinner that captured the country’s timeless elegance.
Our Solution to Execute the Corporate Event:
TERRAEVENTS France team carefully orchestrated a 6-day immersive incentive trip that captured the essence of French elegance, through Bordeaux and Paris, offering a seamless experience where every detail, from logistics to luggage, was taken care of from arrival to departure. Guests, in fact, enjoyed complete comfort throughout the programme, with their luggage transported separately so they could move effortlessly between activities, hotels and cities.
In both destinations, TERRAEVENTS designed personalised a la carte activity options, enabling participants to select experiences that aligned with their interests. These exclusive offerings included guided cultural tours, sommelier-led wine workshops, hands-on tastings, and private museum visits, allowing each guest to explore French heritage at their own pace.
Furthermore, the transfer from Bordeaux to Paris was organised sustainably, with TERRAEVENTS proposing rail travel for the entire group. Travelling in two dedicated groups, guests enjoyed a comfortable, environmentally conscious journey through the French countryside.
In addition to that, one of the programme’s highlights was the spectacular gala dinner at the historic Palais de la Bourse. The staging, screen set-up, and entertainment were all inspired by French tradition, carefully curated to reflect French heritage.
Specifically, the entertainment lineup featured a cabaret show, including a typical can-can performance with frilly costumes and plenty of the famous French kicking, a classical-pop quartet, an accordion duo, and a DJ to close the night.
How We Worked Behind the Scenes to Create the Final Experience:
The TERRAEVENTS team brought the trip to life with precision across two major cities, coordinating swift airport transfers, hotel check-ins, guides, tour leaders, and all other activities to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for all 155 guests. Every logistical element, from venue sourcing to dining arrangements, was fully managed by the team, allowing guests to enjoy each moment without worrying about operational details.
The gala dinner’s creative and technical production was also overseen end-to-end by TERRAEVENTS. From selecting the venue and designing the stage to managing entertainment, AV, decor, and flow, every element was curated to reflect true French sophistication and offer guests an unforgettable evening.
Furthermore, a significant challenge emerged midway through the Paris programme: national strikes unexpectedly forced the closure of major sites, including the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles. As these were central activities scheduled for the day, the team had to redesign the full-day programme at the last minute. Acting swiftly, they proposed alternative activities and adjusted logistics to maintain guest comfort and enjoyment.
Their response ensured that guests continued to experience Paris like true Parisians, without disruption, highlighting TERRAEVENTS’ ability to adapt and manage unexpected challenges with precision.
