DMC insight: France

Uncovering France as a destination for events & incentives

France is a country where sophistication meets versatility—making it one of the most attractive destinations in Europe for corporate events, incentive trips, and memorable experiences. As a leading destination management company in France, we specialize in designing seamless, unforgettable programmes that leverage the country’s rich heritage, stunning landscapes, and cultural depth.

Imagine brushing buttery flakes of a freshly baked croissant off your lap as you admire the Eiffel Tower before your keynote begins. Picture your executive team enjoying a sun-drenched lunch aboard a private yacht in Cannes. Or celebrate your company’s annual achievements with a toast overlooking the serene vineyards of Bordeaux.

France is more than a backdrop—it's a dynamic stage for storytelling, motivation, and connection. With centuries of art, culture, and gastronomy, each moment becomes an experience, and each experience becomes a memory.

France is easily accessible from most parts of the world, thanks to its well-connected international airports. The main gateways for long-haul and international flights include:

  • Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) – France’s largest international airport, offering direct flights from major global hubs across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
  • Paris Orly (ORY) – Located just south of Paris, Orly handles both domestic and international flights, including routes to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and some transatlantic destinations.
  • Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) – A key hub for the French Riviera with international connections, especially from Europe and seasonal long-haul flights.
  • Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) – Convenient for accessing southern France and the Mediterranean, with a mix of European and some international routes.

France has one of Europe’s best transport infrastructures. You can travel efficiently between cities by high-speed train (TGV), domestic flights, or private coach. Within cities, public transport networks (metros, buses, trams) are reliable, and your DMC can arrange private transfers, or even scenic transport like riverboats and vintage cars.

France operates on Central European Time (CET), which is UTC+1. During daylight saving time (late March to late October), it switches to Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2.
