This baroque «loft» is located a former refrigeration station built in 1921, then shut down and hired out to artists from 1980. Les Frigos nearly disappeared in 1992 during the construction of the Paris Rive Gauche district around the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. The occupants' fierce will to stay there saw it through! Now this venue is a reference for contemporary art.
